Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to Curio Islands (the "App"), a mobile application provided by KIVYLO CO.,LTD ("we," "us," or "the Company"). The App is a collection of science-education mini-games designed for children ages 5–8, available on iOS and Android.
This policy is effective as of September 25, 2026.
Information We Do Not Collect
The App does not collect any of the following:
- No account creation or login is required or offered.
- No personally identifiable information about children — name, date of birth, photos, voice, or location.
- No third-party advertising SDKs (e.g., AdMob).
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel).
- No feature that tracks or profiles user behavior.
The App does not operate its own backend server and does not send gameplay progress to KIVYLO servers. Subscription information is processed by the app stores and RevenueCat as described below.
On-Device Local Storage
For smooth use of the App, the following information is stored only on the user's device (via AsyncStorage). This data is never transmitted elsewhere and cannot be accessed by anyone, including us.
Subscription and Payment Information
The App offers a subscription for certain content, processed through Apple App Store / Google Play in-app billing and the subscription-management service RevenueCat.
Information handled in this process includes purchase receipts, subscription status, and anonymous device/transaction identifiers issued by the app store — none of which is linked to any personally identifying information about a child. The subscription flow itself only becomes available after a parental-gate step (a simple multiplication question).

Children's Privacy
Curio Islands is designed primarily for children ages 5–8.
- The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13.
- Before any action requiring parental involvement — subscribing, changing settings, or following an outbound link — a "parental gate" (a simple multiplication question) is shown. This is a safeguard against a child making purchases or changing settings unsupervised; it does not collect or store any personal information.
- No text or voice content in the App requires a child to type or speak any data (only multiple-choice interactions exist).
Third-Party Services
Subscription payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play and RevenueCat. No advertising network or analytics/tracking SDK is used.

Data Security and Retention
The local data described above exists only on the user's device and is deleted along with it if the App is uninstalled or the device's app data is reset. Because we do not retain this data on any server, there is no structural risk of exposure from a server breach.
Parent/Guardian Rights
Because all stored data lives on the device, a parent or guardian can directly manage the following:
- Change language and sound settings anytime from the App's settings screen.
- Uninstalling the App from the device immediately and completely removes all local data, including progress and settings.
- To review, correct, or delete any specific data, uninstalling the App is sufficient (we hold no separate copy on our servers).
Changes to This Policy and Contact
If this policy changes, the update will be reflected here, and material changes will be announced through an app update notice.
